Our friends accept truths about us that we work so hard not to doubt, but nevertheless refuse to acknowledge. They already know intuitively what it is we strive to understand about ourselves. True friends see and cherish with astounding grace the truths which we are afraid to realize about ourselves.

They have stood at the very core of our being, the solid center that lies beneath every molten memory and burning emotion; they have looked into the abyss and stood their ground, gladly and willingly. True friends accept and forgive every wrongdoing we are capable of and believe in our potential, allowing for the impossible to be.

This is the reason for their importance in our self-affirmation of worth. This is why true friendship is the only -ship worth sailing in. Things may get rocky sometimes, but every storm must eventually pass.

It just wouldn't be mine if I didn't end with a little cheese. x)
